I was once considered an expert marksman. Standard issue M16 at 500 yards, iron sights, 10 bullseyes in a row!
After graduating high school, I used my first paycheck from my first job to buy a Remington 870 Express pump-action shotgun. I loved that gun and put, literally, hundreds of rounds through it some days. My next acquisition was the now-famous Ruger 10/22 which I totally tricked out with a folding pistol-grip stock. Yep, that’s all. Okay, maybe just a little bit tricked out.
Things changed in 1995. I was riding my motorcycle when a little old lady cut me off and I t-boned her. I suffered what the docs call a brachial plexus avulsion. I don’t know much about that. All I know is I haven’t been able to use my right arm since.
Since losing my right arm I’ve given up my rifle and shotgun, thereby leaving myself to sidearms to achieve firearms satisfaction… and that ain’t bad. My first (and still favorite) is a Smith & Wesson SW99 in 9mm.
If you simply just can’t get enough Stu in your life, then feel free to check out my YouTube channel where I think I do a decent job of making a fool of myself.
My goal in life is simple: make millions so I can buy happiness. And if I find the saying, “You can’t buy happiness,” to be true, well then, I guess I’ll have to rent it.
